contact-lens.jpg

Can I wear contact contact lenses with my lashes?

Yes contact Lenses are ok to be worn but is Recommended to be taken out for the procedure as they might move in the eye. Your eyes will be closed for up to 2.5 hours depending on the set you choose, therefore the contacts can be feeling dry straight after the procedure

How often should I get infills?

As humans, we have between 90-120 natural lashes on our upper lash line. However, these will shed daily, an average of 2-5 lashes. We recommend booking an appointment for infills every 2-3 weeks.

Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?

You don’t need to wear mascara with lash extensions, as they basically act as mascara anyway. With extensions, your lashes will look fuller, darker and longer.

We recommend avoiding mascara altogether, especially with the more natural, lighter lashes as this will add weight to the lashes and give a higher risk of them falling out.

If you do decide to wear mascara, make sure you use oil-free makeup remover and be gentle, otherwise it may cause lashes to fall out. You must not use any oil-based products around your lashes, as this may break down the adhesive that keeps the lashes intact.

Avoid waterproof mascara completely as this can ruin your lash extensions and will be very hard to get off, resulting in lashes falling out prematurely.

COSMETIC TATTOO

Is Cosmetic Tattooing the same as body tattoos?

Essentially they are the same in the essence that they both puncture the skin and deposit pigment resulting in a “permanent tattoo.” But the method of deposit and depth of colour implanted do differ. Machines used are usually different to allow for more of a shallow pigment deposit. Cosmetic tattoos usually do not penetrate the skin as deep as body tattoos and colours used are usually more tailored to the face.

Is Cosmetic Tattooing painful?

There is some pain involved in cosmetic tattooing but it can be controlled. The level of pain felt does depend on the individual’s pain threshold. Topical anaesthetic is used for eyebrow and eyeliners and these usually help null or soften the pain. For lip procedures, our clients can be referred to a dentist where a complete block is used and nothing is felt! The cost of this would be $40.

How permanent is Cosmetic Tattooing?

This is a very common question and one that is not easy to answer! Cosmetic tattoos generally last between 1-3 years however there have been cases where cosmetic tattoos have lasted for more than 20 years. So if you are considering a cosmetic tattoo under the misconception that it’s only temporary; then think
again.

The permanence of a cosmetic tattoo depends on many factors; individuals skin type, medical conditions, colours used, etc. Colours do fade over time, and we usually recommend a touch-up every 2-3 years. Should you return within the first 2 years a 40% discount will apply to your touch up.

Is Cosmetic Tattooing Safe?

We ensure all of our equipments are 100% sterile. Most parts of the equipment used are disposable and prior to use you can view them in their original sterile packaging. We then carefully dispose of all of the disposable parts. Other non-disposable equipment and materials used have been sterilised by our onsite autoclave (same machinery used by hospitals) not the ultrasonic cleaners some technicians use. We adhere to NSW Government health and safety regulations. It is up to the client to take care of the treated area appropriately post treatment to ensure the area is kept sterile and clean.

SPRAY TAN

I know a spray tan can't be as bad as tanning beds, but is it safe?

The solution has been approved for external use by the FDA; however, you should avoid getting it in your eyes, mouth or nose. Your attendant should apply the solution carefully to your face. While the rest of your body is being sprayed, hold your breath and close your eyes.

How long will it last?

Most spray tans last roughly 7 to 10 days, though certain factors can extend or shorten that period. 3.

Am I protected from the sun?

No. Spray tan solution doesn't have any kind of sunblock in it. If you are going out, put on sunblock.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear loose clothing in dark colors, preferably something that you don't care about, since it will get stained (especially if your solution has bronzer in it). The stain may wash out, but it's not guaranteed. Your bra should also be the loose variety (no sports bras), and you may even want to leave it off after your treatment.

When should I shower afterwards?

Wait at least 5 hours (8 if you want to be safe) before showering. It's crucial to avoid any swimming or sweating, not to apply any products or moisturize, and not to exfoliate before this first shower. All of these things can make your spray tan uneven or streaky.

What else can I do to make sure my tan lasts as long as possible?

While your spray tan is new, you'll want to avoid chlorinated water, as this can make the color fade faster. In addition, cut the amount of shaving you do down to a minimum, as this works as an exfoliant and will also make your tan fade. Once your tan has started fading naturally, you can resume most of your normal skincare regimen.

LASH LIFT & TINT

Is the procedure safe?

Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied.

Does the product contain any allergens?

Our Lash Lift Product is Gluten Free, Soy Free and Not tested on Animals. However it does contain Sunflower Seed Oil. Please contact with any allergen concerns prior to booking for a full list of ingredients.

Is there any maintenance?

None at all! You don’t have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts. If you wish you may use a nourishing oil or lash serum to promote the strength and length of your natural lashes.

Will this damage my eyelashes?

No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes where they are the most delicate.

How long does the effect last?

Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks. Your lashes shedding and growing will cause the lift to grow out, the structure of the lift itself should not change.

How do I clean my eyes?

Gently, using mild products. Always wait 24 hours to do this to ensure long lasting results.

Can I still wear mascara?

Yes, as soon as the 24 hour window has passed. Waterproof mascara is not recommended as the removal of it is much rougher on the lashes and can cause the lift to begin to drop.

How often can I have a lash lift?

You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 5 weeks if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state, average between 8-10 weeks. Most clients will re-lift around 6 – 7 weeks as the new growth comes in straight and the lifted lashes that have not yet shed can cause a uneven, possibly messy, look.

what-to-know-about-waxing-legs.webp

WAXING

Why wax in the first place?

The age-old question: Waxing vs. Shaving. Consider waxing because it actually lasts much longer than shaving, it pulls the hairs from the root – no stubble and your skin is so smooth! It is very important to avoid shaving between waxing appointments. Shaving will stimulate the hair growth again. With waxing you will not have cuts and nicks that often come with shaving. Also, with regular waxing your new hear will become finer and grow slower!

What areas on the body can be waxed?

Most areas on the body can be waxed, as long as the hair will allow. Such as the eyebrows, upper lip, chin, arms, back, chest, stomach, legs, bikini area, and the genital area. 3.

How long does waxing take?

This depends on what you are getting waxed, and how much hair is present. An appointment can take from about 15-20 minutes (eye brows) to an hour or more (several areas).

Will this damage my eyelashes?

No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes where they are the most delicate.

Will waxing hurt?

How often should you get waxed?

Regular waxing is essential. For many that is every 4-6 weeks. The skin will be less sensitive and the hair becomes finer if waxing is done every four weeks.

How long will the results last?

Again, this depends on the person and their genes. But usually waxing lasts from 4 to 8 weeks. Which is much longer than shaving which may only last up to a day.

Will the hair grow back thicker?

This is actually a myth. The hair grows back much slower, finer, and more scarce than before. If you wax often enough, the hair will barely be in the area.

TEETH WHITENING

Does teeth whitening hurt?

There might be a slight feeling of discomfort. However, teeth whitening typically proves painless.

Does teeth whitening damage teeth?

Not in our salon. Our teeth whitening methods do not cause any short-term or long-term damage to tooth enamel or dentin. We can help ensure to protect your gums during the procedure in our office. No. Teeth whitening only improves the shade of regular teeth. However, it is possible for teeth whitening to restore the hue of false teeth.

Is scaling and polishing necessary before teeth whitening?

While we will eliminate stains and plaque during the whitening process, teeth whitening is not a substitute for scaling and polishing If there is visible tartar on the exterior of teeth, scaling and polishing will be necessary prior to teeth whitening.
